Death Unleashed
March 19, 2008 by Cendrine Marrouat
I shall give you death unleashed, my friend,
For your heart needs closure, forgiveness.
This is the day her soul will ascend
And reach the mountains of the ageless.
Why do you cry? Why do you lament?
Even the sun and the sky consent!
Please, let her go away; let her soar.
This is what you should really grope for.
I shall give you death unleashed, flowing,
For your soul needs some rest and insight.
Tell me, what’s the use of adoring,
When you overlook the beam of light
God planted in the heavens for you?
Look up, eternity’s tried and true.
Please, let her go away; let her soar.
That’s what she needs, what she cries out for!
I shall give you death unleashed.
I shall give you life unbreached.
Let the rain fall for a while,
Then come back to us, released.
This time will be your trial.
She left you for a reason.
You know, death is no treason.
I shall give you death unleashed.

Wow.
Beautiful.
I needed to read this. I needed to learn from you. Thank you so much for your gifts, you talents and your being in my life. This was a great big hug for me.
Thank you for letting your pain be a bridge for me to learn with.
s/b Thank you for letting your pain be a bridge for me to cross with my pain.
Thank you both!
This poem is not about pain on my end. It is about a belief in death that is beyond most people’s reach.
To me, death is simply a continuum with life. No more, no less…
“I shall give you death unleashed.
I shall give you life unbreached.
Let the rain fall for a while,
Then come back to us, released.”
I love these lines Cendrine, liberating…
Thank you for you dear Friend. Mother passed since I started reading your work. It was for me a welcoming rain coat for her.
The rain was my tears. They lessen each day.
You teach me continually.
Your gift, compassion and love are amazing. Thanks
